Reflections on a Transformative Year – Moving to Spain and Balancing Passions and Purpose

As 2024 comes to an end, I reflect on what has been this 2024 for me. This year has been a combination of challenges, growth, and rediscovery.

I moved to Spain to pursue a master’s degree in Digital Marketing. After years of professional experience and the constant desire to change my path to new horizons, I took the chance to go on a new adventure.

Relocating to Spain wasn’t just about academics. It was about embracing a new culture, navigating the complexities of relocating, and finding a new rhythm in life. From struggling with paperwork to managing moments of homesickness, the journey has been as demanding as it has been rewarding. These experiences have deepened my resilience and adaptability, skills that I’ve found invaluable both personally and professionally.

This year has also been key to my writing. On metalbere.com, I’ve continued exploring the metal scene, sharing insights, reviews, and personal opinions on the music I love. At the same time, greenlegalwriter.com has remained my outlet for merging my expertise as an environmental lawyer with my passion for veganism and sustainability. Through this platform, I’ve aimed to share my views on these critical issues, advocate for change, and provide actionable insights for readers.

Linked to the last idea, this year was incredibly satisfactory at a conviction level for me. I became vegan early this year (but that story will be on My First Vegan Anniversary post in January… so stay tuned for that).

Balancing these projects with my studies and personal life hasn’t been easy, but good things never are.

This year has taught me the value of pursuing multiple passions and staying true to what drives you, even when the path is uncertain and tough.

As I look forward to 2025, I’m excited to keep building on these experiences. Whether it’s through writing, advocacy, or whatever the future might bring, I’m committed to making a meaningful impact.
